David reminds us that our choices greatly impact our future. He teaches his people to walk uprightly and to live morally according to the Law of God. The people, however, seem to struggle with understanding the radical transformation that happens when we actually do those things. It all sounds good, but they are reluctant to put it into practice. How many modern-day Christ-followers live in that same manner? We know what is good and right and honoring to God, but we are drawn away by what looks fun and fulfilling. We quickly find that anything not based on a relationship with God will be lacking and will never fulfill its promise. Sadly, our pride then stops us from repenting and returning to God, so we wallow in the result of our stupidity and will not make a move to get out of it. God's church must wake up, repent, and return to our God and to His way of life. As we do, David's words will ring true in our hearts and minds, "The Lord confides in those who fear Him; He makes his covenant known to them. My eyes are ever on the Lord, for only He will release my feet from the snare." If you are walking closely with Him, then you should see the incredible difference He makes in your life. Will you repent and return to the Lord if you have been far from Him?Put away your pride and fall on your knees before Him, because He is always ready to forgive and restore!

Help me, Lord, to walk uprightly so that You can freely bless my life, my home, and my family. Help me to repent and return to You when I walk in the flesh and mess up royally.
